Corporate Relationships

Mentor / Protégé

In August of 2008, Madison entered into an approved SBA Mentor /Protégé relationship with General Trades & Services.  GT&S is a small, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned business, founded and owned by George Toyama. Mr. Toyama has been active in small business affairs, and a vocal advocate for small business in Hawaii.  Recently, Mr. Toyama was named by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Advocate of the Year for the City and County of Honolulu.

GT&S has provided a wide range of services for the Federal Government and Prime Contractors engaged in the service contracting industry.   In its association with Madison, GT&S has sought to expand the scope of services and the geographical areas it serves.

As a Mentor to GT&S, Madison works within the parameters of the SBA Mentor /Protégé Program to provide business development, accounting, and operations assistance to GT&S.  Recent contract awards for Military Family Housing Maintenance at Malmstrom AFB, F.E. Warren AFB and Eielson AFB by GT&S attest to the success of the undertaking and the Mentor / Protege Program.
